Start with an aliyah advisor
Moving from the US or Canada? Start with Nefesh B’Nefesh. From elsewhere, contact the Jewish Agency. An advisor can help you understand eligibility and the process for your household.
Get your paperwork ready
Open your application and follow your advisor’s document checklist. Confirm what each person moving with you needs, including any certifications or translations. Keep your originals together and save digital copies.
Arrange the move
Decide where you’ll stay when you land, what you’ll take and what you’ll ship. Plan around work and school needs, and coordinate your travel date with your advisor once your application is approved.
Settle in, one step at a time
Work through your Israeli ID, bank account, health fund and local registration. If you have children, arrange school registration. Look into ulpan — Hebrew classes — and give yourself time to find your routine.
