1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of Jewcalc, a meirlabs project, including its calculators, guides, comparisons, shared results and sponsor placements. “We”, “us” and “our” refer to the operators of Jewcalc. If you do not accept these terms, do not use the service. Our Privacy policy explains how information is handled.

2. Information, not a professional recommendation

Jewcalc is a starting point for research and planning. Its results are not a quotation, an offer, a tax assessment, a guarantee of eligibility, a prediction of future costs or an instruction to buy, sell, invest, borrow, take a job or move. Using Jewcalc does not create an adviser-client, fiduciary or other professional relationship.

A result that uses your inputs is still a model, not a professional assessment of your situation. Before acting, obtain current information from the relevant authority or provider and appropriate advice from a qualified financial adviser, accountant, lawyer or other professional.

3. Mixed sources and uncertain estimates

We aggregate information from sources such as official statistics, published prices, third-party websites, community information, research and AI-assisted web searches. Figures may also include estimates, proxies, modelling assumptions and values you enter yourself. Sources can cover different dates, places, households and methodologies.

Data, source interpretation, AI-assisted research, formulas and software can contain errors or omissions. Numbers may be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent or out of date. A citation does not mean we have independently verified every detail or that a source supports every use of a figure. Tax rules, exchange rates, benefits, housing prices and personal circumstances can change.

We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, reliability or suitability of any information or result. Displayed precision does not establish real-world accuracy. We may correct or update content, but do not promise to identify every error or keep every figure current. Review Our sources and the FAQ for the model’s assumptions and limitations.

4. Your decisions and inputs

You are responsible for checking the inputs you use, understanding the assumptions and independently verifying information before making a decision. Actual income, expenses, taxes, eligibility and outcomes can differ substantially from the estimates. You remain responsible for your decisions, commitments and any resulting costs, taxes or losses.

Shared links can contain scenario information. Share only what you are comfortable making available to others. Do not submit confidential information or information about another person without appropriate authority.

5. Sponsors and third-party services

Sponsored placements are advertising. Payment for a placement is not an endorsement, recommendation or guarantee by Jewcalc. Sponsors do not determine our calculator’s numbers or editorial area rankings. Placements marked “Demo” are fictional examples, not available offers or real endorsements.

Third-party websites, advisers, job listings and property projects are controlled by their respective providers. We do not guarantee their accuracy, availability, qualifications, pricing or performance. Any transaction or relationship with a provider is between you and that provider and is subject to its terms and privacy policy.

6. Service provided “as is”

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Jewcalc and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without express or implied warranties, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or secure operation, or that defects will be corrected. Features and content may change or be discontinued.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Jewcalc, meirlabs and their operators and contributors are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of, inability to use, or reliance on the service, its information or results. This includes losses caused by inaccurate data, calculation errors, omissions, outdated information, service interruptions or third-party content or services.

To the same extent, we exclude liability for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, and for lost income, profits, opportunities, savings or data, including financial losses, unexpected taxes or penalties, and costs of moving, housing, employment or investment decisions, even if we were advised that such losses might occur.

These exclusions apply only where legally permitted. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your mandatory consumer rights and other non-waivable statutory rights remain unaffected. If an exclusion is not enforceable, it applies only to the extent permitted by law.

8. Acceptable use

Use Jewcalc lawfully. Do not interfere with the service, bypass access controls, attempt unauthorized access to the advertiser dashboard, manipulate reporting or misrepresent an estimate as a verified quotation or professional recommendation. Content belonging to third parties remains subject to their rights and licence terms.

9. Changes and contact

We may revise these terms as the service changes. The date above identifies the current version; changes do not remove rights that have already accrued under applicable law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
